Your Questions, Answered
-
We're a private, family-owned publishing house, and we champion a deliberately small number of authors. That means every book gets attention most books never get — in the editing, in the design, in how we send it into the world. Our standard is simple: a book you'll stay up too late finishing, and still feel good about recommending.

Yes. Our books don't ask readers to compromise their values for a great story. You'll find real emotional depth, genuine romantic tension, and stakes that matter — without explicit content, and without the gratuitous language and situations that make so much young adult fiction hard to hand to a teenager. We think you shouldn't have to choose between a gripping story and a story you trust.
-
Young adult fiction is our heart, but not our whole catalog. We are also looking to publish children's books, and we will soon be creating tabletop books and products inspired by the worlds our authors build—because a good story shouldn't have to end on the last page.

Book one is We Have To Tell Her; book two is Tell The World, with book three to come…

We're not currently accepting unagented submissions. We take on a limited number of authors so we can give each one real attention, which means we open to submissions rarely. When that changes, our newsletter subscribers hear first.
-
Never. We're a traditional publisher—we pay our authors, not the other way around. If any publisher ever asks you to pay them to publish your book, walk away.
